Mr. Bischel is CEO, Chief Investment Officer and a founding member of SKBA. He has been in the industry since 1976 and joined SKBA when the firm was founded in 1989. Mr. Bischel is the lead member of the Investment Strategy Team. Previously, Mr. Bischel worked at The Bank of California. Mr. Bischel earned his BS in mathematics and BA in economics from the University of California at Davis, and his MBA from California State University at Sacramento. He is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco and the CFA Institute.
Mr. Forth is the Manager of Marketing and Business Development. In his role, he seeks to develop and foster new client relationships for SKBA within the institutional and intermediary channels. Previously, Mr. Forth was a Relationship Manager at WHV Investments where he directed the firm's client relationship efforts among institutional clients, consultants and independent advisors. Prior to joining WHV in 2002, he worked in the institutional marketing group within State Street Research and Management. Previous to that, he began his career in the investment industry in 2000 with Investors Bank & Trust Company. Mr. Forth received his bachelor's degree from Tufts University. He holds the Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses.
Mr. Hiester is a member of the Research group and is an Investment Associate. He is responsible for security analysis, industry research and investment idea generation. He is also responsible for supporting the firm's marketing efforts. Prior to joining SKBA, Mr. Hiester was a financial analyst at a private investment firm. Mr. Hiester received a Bachelor of Arts in business management economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Mr. Hiester is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco and the CFA Institute.
Mr. Kaplan is Chairman and a founding member of SKBA. He has been in the industry since 1965 and joined SKBA when the firm was founded in 1989. Previously, Mr. Kaplan worked at The Bank of California, First Chicago Corporation and then as a partner in an investment counseling firm. Mr. Kaplan is a member of the Investment Strategy Team. Mr. Kaplan received both his undergraduate degree and MBA from Northwestern University. He is a past President of the CFA Society of San Francisco and a member of the CFA Institute. He has taught finance at San Francisco State University.
Mr. Ke is a member of the Research group and is a Securities Analyst. He is responsible for security analysis, industry research and investment idea origination. Mr. Ke joined SKBA in 2009 as a member of our research internship program and rejoined SKBA in 2011. In between employment at SKBA, Mr. Ke worked in the equity research department at Piper Jaffray. Mr. Ke received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Ke is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco and the CFA Institute.
Ms. Liang is responsible for the firm's administration and is a member of the marketing and client service team. Previously, Ms. Liang worked in the insurance, jewelry and hospitality industry with experience in customer service and sales & marketing. Ms. Liang received her BS in hospitality management with a minor in business administration from San Francisco State University.
Ms. Mann is the Director of Trading and Operations and also serves as SKBA's Chief Compliance Officer. She has been in the industry since 1976 and joined SKBA when the firm was founded in 1989. Ms. Mann is responsible for managing the firm's trading activities, is a member of the Fixed Income Strategy Team, oversees the firm's client operations and as CCO is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's compliance responsibilities. Previously, Ms. Mann worked at The Bank of California. She attended Utah State University.
Mr. Marcia is the Manager of Operations and is responsible for daily portfolio maintenance, trade settlements, performance analysis, and the monthly reconciliation process. He has been in the industry since 2006 and joined SKBA in 2010. Previously, Mr. Marcia worked in a senior operational role at Citco Fund Services, providing middle office support to hedge fund clients. He received his BS in business administration and economics with an emphasis in finance, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Mr. Marcia is a CIPM Certificant and member of the CIPM Association.
Mr. Robles is a member of the Research and Trading groups and is an Investment Associate. Adrian is responsible for credit and security analysis, industry research and investment idea generation. Mr. Robles is also responsible for equity and fixed income trading. He joined SKBA in 2013 as a member of our research internship program and began his current full time role in 2014. Mr. Robles received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of California at Berkeley and is currently a level 2 CFA Candidate.
Mr. Rothé is President and Director of Research. He has been in the industry since 1991 and joined SKBA in 1994. Mr. Rothé is a member of the Investment Strategy Team. Previously, Mr. Rothé worked at Lehman Brothers and Kemper Securities. Mr. Rothé received his BS in international business and his MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of San Francisco. Mr. Rothé has passed the Series 65 examination administered by the National Association of Securities Dealers. He is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco and the CFA Institute.
Mr. Segura is a member of the Research group and is a Securities Analyst. He is responsible for security analysis, industry research and investment idea origination. Previously Mr. Segura worked at Charles Schwab & Co performing several roles: A Cash Management team member in the Treasury, and a Manager in Financial Planning and Analysis for Schwab's largest retail divisions. Mr. Segura also Served 5 years Active Duty in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Segura received a BS in business administration from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco and the CFA Institute.
Ms. Simonelli is responsible for handling SKBA's client relations. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Simonelli worked for a consulting and government relations firm in Sacramento that deals primarily with the metalworking industry in California. Ms. Simonelli also has experience working with at-risk youth and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine in the Youth Development program. She received her BA in history with a minor in political science from Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles and her MA in history from San Jose State University.
Ms. Tagle is the Director of Corporate Development & Finance and responsible for accounting, finance, human resources, marketing, and business development. Previously, Ms. Tagle served as the Regional Managing Partner for Tatum, LLC and was a founding member of Resources Global Professionals where she acted as Regional Managing Director - Strategic Accounts. Ms. Tagle also spent time at The Clorox Company where she participated in its finance and accounting management rotation program. Ms. Tagle started her career in auditing with Deloitte & Touche LLP where she earned her CPA. Ms. Tagle received her BS in accounting from the University of Southern California.
